Recipe type: Dessert, Snack, Gluten-free
Cuisine: American
Serves: 8
  • 1¼ cups (120 grams/4.2 ounces) finely ground blanched almond flour
  • ¼ cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened to room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons (42 grams) honey
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup sliced almonds
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the almond flour, butter, honey, vanilla, and salt. Stir until a smooth, soft dough forms.
  3. Transfer to an 8-inch round non-stick tart pan with removable bottom.
  4. Press the dough evenly into the pan (place a sheet of plastic wrap on top or wet your finger to prevent the dough from sticking).
  5. Arrange the sliced almond decoratively on top.
  6. Bake on the bottom rack of the oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown around the edges but still pale in the center.
  7. Let cool before slicing into wedges.
