Maple Walnut Almond Butter

  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Place the walnuts and almonds on a sheet pan and bake them on the bottom rack of the oven for 8-10 minutes or until they are slightly toasted and just starting to turn darker in color.
  3. Let the nuts cool for 20 minutes then add to a food processor or high speed blender along with the maple syrup and salt.
  4. Process until smooth and creamy.
  5. Transfer to a jar or other covered container and store in the refrigerator.
